
Harvard Beets
Ingredients
- 1/4 c. cider vinegar
- 1/4 c. sugar
- 4 tsps. arrowroot
- 1/2 tsp orange peel
- 1/8 tsp cloves
- 1 tbs butter or margarine
- 1 can beets, reserve juice
Instructions
- In a saucepan, add beet juice. Stir in the remaining ingredients except the beets.
- Bring to a boil, and cook for 5 minutes.
- Add the beets and cook until heated through over low heat.
- Stir in butter or margarine.
- Remove from heat and season with salt and pepper.
