
Sweet & Sour Meatballs
Ingredients
- 1 1/2 lbs ground beef
- 1/2 c milk
- 1 1/2 c bread or cracker crumbs
- 1 beaten egg
- Salt and pepper
- 1 medium onion, cut in rings
- 1 c ketchup
- 1/4 c water
- 3 tbs brown sugar
- 4 tsp white vinegar
- 4 tbs Worcestershire sauce

Instructions
- Preheat oven to 350 degrees.
- Combine the meatball ingredients, except the onion.
- Form meat mixture into one-inch balls and brown in a skillet. They do not need to be cooked through, just browned on the outside.
- Place meatballs in a single layer in casserole baking dish (I often use a lasagna pan).
- Place sliced onion rings on top of the layer of meatballs.
- In a saucepan, combine the sauce ingredients.
- Stir frequently and bring to a boil.
- Remove from heat and pour sauce over the meatballs.
- Cover pan with aluminum foil and bake for one hour.
- Serve over rice.
